On June 15th, 2018, the Government imposed a 25% tariff under Section 301 of the US Trade Act on a vast number of products manufactured in China. This imposed tariff is currently scheduled to take effect on July 6th, 2018 for all product that ships to locations in the United States.
This charge will only be billed when BCI has been charged a tariff on the material being shipped.
If the tariff is cancelled on a date after July 6th, 2018, you may see some invoices include the tariff surcharge as our inventory may have been subjected to the tariff. Once the material in-stock that was impacted has been depleted, the tariff surcharge will no longer apply.
BCI values your business and is hopeful the tariff is removed soon. If you have any questions we encourage you to contact the BCI sales department.
The Administration has released its lists of products on which 25 percent tariffs would be imposed effective July 6. Click here to review List 1.
A second proposed list was also released on which public comment is sought before U.S. tariffs are imposed. Click here to review List 2. Public comment on list 2 is due by July 23.
